ANNUAL MISSIONARY RETREAT
The NWMN Missionary Retreat is for Active Missionaries who are home on furlough, as well as our Retired Missionaries and US Missionaries. The retreat typically takes place in late January over a period of about two and ½ days. This retreat is a wonderful time of refreshment, encouragement, and relaxation. It is also an opportunity to update you on current information in the States as well as provide you with some well-deserved free time to visit with friends you may not have had an opportunity to see for a few years.
Retreat Schedule
The retreat starts on a Monday evening with a banquet and a fun time of games and entertainment. There are sessions Tuesday morning, Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. Free time is scheduled Tuesday afternoon. The retreat concludes on Wednesday morning at noon.
Cost
The cost for the retreat is approximately $250 per couple and $125 single (or double occupancy); or $220 single private room. These prices may vary according to hotel rates and administrative costs. More information will be sent to you in November. Reservations for the retreat are to be made directly through the Network office.
Child Care?
Typically there is no child care provided at this event. This means that other than infants who must remain with their mothers, alternate plans will need to be made for child care.
Veteran Missionary Re-entry Orientation
Members of the NW Network Missions Team have been strategizing in the last year or so about ways we can do a better job of serving you, our world missionaries, particularly as it relates to re-entry and itineration issues. The world seems to be spinning faster than some of us can keep up with these days, and it is our conviction that some focused training and interaction about NW Network churches, relationships, and itineration would benefit our cause. We feel that we have come up with a plan and we are hopeful that your schedule will allow you to participate in one of our orientations. This event will occur on a Friday evening for fellowship and then all day Saturday for the orientation and education portion. You will be contacted by Toni Hinkle or you can contact Toni and let her know of your interest to attend this event.
