The Network Presbytery Meeting will include discussions regarding NWMN culture, Network Leader profile, and interview questions. This information will be passed on to the Search Team.
The Executive Presbytery, serving as the NWMN Search Team, will review the material developed by the Network Presbytery on NWMN culture, the Network Leader profile, and interview questions.
An email will be sent to the NWMN with details about the election process, including the dates when nominations for Network Leader may be submitted.
A second email will be sent to the NWMN, providing details on how nominations can be made, who is eligible to make them, and announcing the opening of the nomination process.
At the Search Team meeting in January, the list of candidates will be reviewed and narrowed by an agreed-upon process. Candidates who move forward in the process will complete a leadership survey and interview process.
The Search Team will review completed surveys and will conduct preliminary in-person interviews. The Search Team shall seek and interview candidates who may have the gifts, calling, aptitude and experience necessary for the position. They shall recommend two or more candidates who are qualified and willing to serve. (Article V., Section 5., B., (1), B.)
Candidates shall be presented to the Network Presbytery who shall interview the candidates and nominate two or more to be presented to the NWMN in session. (Article V., Section 5., B., (1), C.) Prepared materials shall be distributed for each candidate nominated by the Network Presbytery to the voting constituency at least 10 days prior to balloting. (Article V., Section 5., B., (1), F.)
The candidates nominated by the Network Presbytery shall appear on the nominating ballot along with a line for a write-in candidate during the 2027 Network Conference Business Session (Article V., Section 5., B., (1), D.). A new Network Leader will be elected.
The Network Leader-Elect and the current Network Leader will prepare for transition. The Network Leader-Elect will meet with the Executive Presbytery and the Leadership Team.
The current Network Leader will conclude service on June 30, 2027, and the new Network Leader will begin service on July 1, 2027.
